FUJIFILM XS10 FULL FRAME SERIES

Most importantly, the X-S10 becomes the most compact model in the series to sport built-in stabilisation and while Fujifilm reckons the X-T4’s system remains a little better with some lenses, I found the X-S10’s IBIS still transformed the use of unstabilised lenses for photos and video. Whatever your control preference though, the X-S10’s grip makes it easier to hold than the X-T30 and more practical with a wider range of lenses, while a side-hinged fully-articulated screen provides greater compositional flexibility. So it’s out with the retro-styled shutter dial and in with a more common PASM mode control which, while lacking vintage charm, may prove easier for first-time Fujifilm owners. Do you see the Nikon on the shelf just before you head out and find yourself grabbing it? 90% of the time I've taken a camera out over the last year it's been the X100V, despite the Sony sitting there with the incredible 55 mm ƒ/1.8.SummaryThe Fujifilm X-S10 represents a new branch in the X-series, delivering the power and quality of the X-T series, but with a more approachable control system. That said, you're the only one who truly knows whether this is GAS. I'm grateful for the awesome community.īased on the kind of photographers you like and the fact that you also enjoy shooting street, I can understand why you want to switch. That's a long way of saying that you're not alone, and I find it funny to see myself writing this as it doesn't seem two minutes ago when I was considering jumping to Sony, reading all the "I switched from Fujifilm to." posts on here. I'm going to wait a bit and see if an X-Pro4 is coming as soon as many people hope. I'm in no rush to get anything right now as I'm enjoying the X100V, but I can see myself with an X-Pro with the old 35 mm ƒ/1.4. I've already sold my Sony lenses, and the camera is up for sale. While it's technically superior in every way, I miss the old and exciting times when I just had the X-T3 and the 35 mm ƒ/2.

Since then, I've realised that maybe the Sony isn't for me. I picked up an X100V to scratch the Fujifilm itch, and I've been enjoying shooting with something so small and light.

That said, I've stepped away from that kind of work now, and photography is back to purely a hobby, with street and travel being my favourite style. It was exactly what I wanted for some product and portrait work, and I was blown away by the image quality and the autofocus. I had an X-T3 followed by an X-T4, but then I sold that setup and bought a Sony α7 IV. Am I just suffering from GAS? Would this be a stupid or silly move to make at this point? I'd love to hear your thoughts. If anybody with a similar experience would like to chime in, I'd love to hear it. Also, all my favorite YT photographers use Fujifilm (Faizal Westcott, Roman Fox, Eren Sarigul) I mainly shoot a lot of streets and some portrait/lifestyle and would like to do some more travel photography. I'm not shooting professionally but will occasionally make a couple bucks doing portraits for people. While I've enjoyed this camera and the images it produces I find myself missing Fujifilm and am tossing the idea around of trading it in for an X-T5 or XH2. I sold both the X100V and the X-S10 and used that money to buy a Nikon Z6ii. I eventually acquired an X100V (before all the hype and inflation) but at some point I convinced myself I needed full-frame if I wanted to be taken serious as a photographer.

I kept the X-T10 (until recently) for the nostalgic sensor and got myself an X-S10 as my main shooter. I started my photography journey with Fujifilm.
